Rarely are it the tools or machines that set a company apart from the competition—just as an orchestra is not defined by its instruments alone. Rather, it is the way everything plays together.

Although we are logistics and factory planners (and not management consultants or communication trainers), our planning always starts with the process. The analysis of existing processes leads us to a deep understanding of operational workflows, as well as to weaknesses and optimization opportunities, which we then incorporate into the target processes:

• The planning of the operating organization describes future production and logistics processes and the required organizational (role) structure.
• Using value stream design, we create efficient value-adding processes and support the elimination of waste.
• Our process cost planning provides key performance indicators for production and logistics, as well as concrete approaches for cost reduction.
• If the results of process planning generate extensive requirements for software and hardware, we consolidate them into an IT requirements specification, for example for future warehouse management or production control systems.
