Project Control

Identify deviations and take corrective action

Effective project control is essential to the success of a project. Our goal is – put simply – to align the actual values of the ongoing project with the target values defined in the project plan.

If reality in day-to-day project work were that simple...

... we could probably execute entire investment projects at the push of a button. While modern project management software helps us manage the complexity of many initiatives more effectively, it does not replace personal communication, decision-making, and responsibility.

Our specialist engineers are happy to take on responsibility as project managers to successfully implement previously developed solutions. Where required, we also involve an independent project control expert.

► Fields of application – this is where our project managers provide support:

Whether a project manager should take control of a project on a part-time or full-time basis depends primarily on the complexity and size of the undertaking. LogistikPlan particularly recommends deployment for larger projects, for example:

  • the construction of a new factory building (from approx. €1 million investment)
  • the establishment of a logistics center (from approx. €2 million investment)
  • the conversion or relocation of operating sites during ongoing operations (from approx. 200 employees)
  • the tendering of logistics services (from approx. €4 million costs per year)
  • the awarding of facility management services (from approx. €5 million costs per year).

► Project management from A to Z – our services:

  • Commissioning of work packages, deliverables, and supporting activities
  • Monitoring of processes, resources, quality, timelines, schedules, costs, finances, and milestones
  • Coordination of service catalogues and requirements specifications for commissioning specialist departments and suppliers
  • Execution of risk analyses and risk simulations
  • Assignment of tasks to all project participants
  • Control of execution and implementation of all activities, requirements specifications, and quality standards
  • Handling of acceptances, approval documents, and change requests during the ongoing project
  • Identification of problem areas and target/actual deviations, development and control of corrective measures
  • Preparation of project reporting for clients, steering committees, and executive management
  • Continuous information of the client about project progress and timely initiation of decisions by the client
  • Calculation of capital requirements and monitoring of liquidity during the ongoing project
  • Final documentation and handover of the project to the client
