Facility Management
A holistic approach is needed
As factory planners, we do not only focus on the construction of factories, but also on their efficient and economical operation. With a holistic facility management concept, we ensure the proper operation of a site:
- Technical Facility Management
- Commercial Facility Management
- Infrastructure Facility Management
- Space Management
► The FM concept: secondary processes under one roof
We define the term Facility Management in accordance with GEFMA, the German Facility Management Association:
- Facility Management, as a management discipline, combines all site-related secondary processes in order to support a company’s core business.
► Comprehensive requirements: usability quality from A to Z
The requirements for facility management are correspondingly broad (see GEFMA 100-1):
- Support of the company’s core processes
- Ensuring health protection, safety, and performance of workplaces
- Preservation of structural and technical asset value
- Enabling high levels of usability at minimal operating costs
